Discovery Riders Seeks Volunteers to Support Equine-Assisted Therapy Programs

Do you love horses and want to make a meaningful impact in your community? Discovery Riders, a non-profit therapeutic riding center located just outside Bellefontaine, is looking for compassionate and committed volunteers to join their team.

Serving children and adults with a range of physical, cognitive, emotional, and social needs, Discovery Riders uses the power of horses to help individuals build confidence, improve mobility, and gain independence through equine-assisted therapy. Volunteers play a crucial role in making these life-changing experiences possible.

West Central Ohio Community Concert Band Invites New Members to Join Starting May 6

The West Central Ohio Community Concert Band is calling on local musicians to join its vibrant and growing ensemble as weekly rehearsals resume Tuesday, May 6.

Whether you're a seasoned performer or just dusting off your instrument after a break, the group welcomes players of all skill levels. Rehearsals are held every Tuesday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the Bellefontaine High School Band Room.

Sawdust and Bluegrass to Bring Classic Fun to West Liberty on May 31

Step back in time and enjoy a day of traditional fun at Lion’s Park in West Liberty during the upcoming Sawdust and Bluegrass celebration on Saturday, May 31.

The day kicks off at 8:00 AM with live sawing demonstrations at the sawmill on the southwest side of the park, running continuously until 4:30 PM. Starting at 9:00 AM, the West Liberty Lions Club and Charlie Jones will host an NHPA-sanctioned horseshoe tournament beside the sawmill.
