The Social Services Worker I will assist with child welfare and intake-related duties, including interviewing individuals who report cases of child or elder abuse, neglect, or dependency; entering and managing referrals in the Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System (SACWIS); gathering background information and documentation; coordinating transportation for children and families; and connecting clients with appropriate community resources. The role also involves maintaining accurate records, assisting with follow-up activities, and supporting agency staff as needed.
Applicants must hold an associate degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or a related human services field, possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record, and pass a criminal background check. Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills are required, along with the ability to work independently and compassionately in high-stress situations.
