Position Overview
​The Logan County Department of Job & Family Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Ongoing Social Services Worker to join its team. This full-time position provides case management services to assigned families, often working with them for up to two years to promote stability, safety, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess each child and family’s strengths, needs, and goals while developing a written case plan.
• Maintain consistent contact through monthly home visits, providing supportive services.
• Collaborate with service providers and involve them in ongoing case planning.
• Complete all required paperwork and documentation promptly and accurately.
• Prepare for and attend court hearings, providing professional testimony when required.
• Represent the agency with professionalism, promoting teamwork, mission, and values.
• Attend meetings and training sessions as assigned.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with agency policies and ethical standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or a related human services field.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean criminal background check.
• Strong communication, writing, and documentation skills.
• Ability to build trust and rapport with diverse populations.
• Sound judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
• Capable of managing multiple cases and meeting deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Compassionate, empathetic, and professional in high-stress situations.
