These full-time positions play a vital role in assisting community members by screening applicants for program eligibility, directing them to the appropriate staff, handling phone inquiries, processing mail, and performing various clerical and customer service duties. Additional responsibilities include managing benefit cases by updating case information, mailing requests, and addressing case alerts.
Ideal candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, strong written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, and experience with office equipment such as computers, printers, and scanners. Previous experience in public assistance is preferred. The salary range for this position is $35,172.80 - $43,908.80, with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, paid sick and vacation leave, retirement benefits through OPERS, and flexible work hours.
