Logan County Family Court Magistrate

The Logan County Family Court is looking for a full time Magistrate. The Logan County Family Court is dedicated to justice, community well-being, and partnerships that protect, support, and empower individuals and families by providing quality, timely, and respectful services.

​Responsibilities and Duties:

• Preside over hearings
• Interpret and enforce rules of procedure
• Read documents on pleadings and motions to ascertain facts and issues and writing decisions on cases
• Research, review, analyze, and/or provide a summarization of matters before the court

 
Requirements and Qualifications:

• Must have been engaged in the practice of law for at least four (4) years and be in good standing with the Supreme Court of Ohio
• Knowledge and familiarity of office and case management software including Courtview and Puritas Springs.
• Must be professional in demeanor and attitude
• Must have excellent critical thinking skills
• Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form
