Job Summary: The Athletic Trainer treats and prevents athletic injuries by developing therapies to reduce pain and improve mobility under the direction of a physician. Responsibilities include exercise

instruction and demonstration, patient evaluation and testing, emergency treatment of athletic injuries, referral to medical professionals, rehabilitation and treatment of athletic injuries, and monitoring return to play situations. The Athletic Trainer is also responsible for the organization and administration of the school’s athletic training facility and equipment.

Regulatory Requirements:

• Master’s in athletic training or relevant equivalent post-secondary education to achieve licensure.
• Licensed Athletic Trainer in good standing with the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.

Language Skills:

• Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Additional languages preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
