Job Description: Benefits Case Manager (ERS2)

The Logan County Department of Job & Family Services is seeking two experienced and self-driven Eligibility Referral Specialist 2 (ERS2) or Benefits Case Managers to join their Income Maintenance Unit. This role involves determining eligibility for public assistance programs, conducting case management, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate eligibility for public assistance and emergency aid programs.
• Conduct case management and handle redeterminations.​

• Utilize multiple computer systems and phone platforms simultaneously.
• Attend relevant meetings, training sessions, and webinars.
• Perform detailed data entry and maintain case accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of two years of experience as an ERS2 or in a similar position.
• Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude.
• Degree preferred, but relevant experience will be considered.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary: $36,961.60 - $47,881.60 (commensurate with experience).
• Annual pay increases (4%-6%) and retention bonuses ($300-$1,300).
• Comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, dental and vision plans, paid vacation, flexible work hours, and Ohio Public Employees Retirement System participation.
